Corona help: take action!

In this corona crisis, older and vulnerable people are having a hard time. But people who work in healthcare, the police and in supermarkets may also need extra help so that their important work can continue. We collect all supply and demand in one place: asking for and offering help is free for social organizations and individuals. In this way we increase the chance that help will be found. Because that is necessary! Are you taking part too? You can do two things:

ASK FOR HELP

You can no longer visit your mother and you are worried. The activities in the nursing home where you work are stopped because of corona and the residents are alone. Place a call on their behalf and ask if someone would like to play an online game of chess, write a letter, or get the essential groceries. You know how best to help these people!

HELP ANOTHER

You hear and see the news and you want to help someone. But where do you start? What if you have a cold yourself and you can't leave the house? At Zwijndrechtvoorelkaar we believe that everyone has something to offer, even remotely. Think of calling the elderly who are currently not receiving visitors. Playing a digital game of chess with someone in quarantine. Or delivering the groceries to the neighbor.

Volunteering and corona

Of course we are happy that you want to help others in this corona crisis. It remains important that you adhere to the guidelines of the RIVM:

  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Cough and sneeze into the inside of your elbow
  • Use paper tissues
  • Don't shake hands
  • Stay home if you get cold symptoms
  • Keep 1,5 meters away from each other
